The Lumenis One is a platform laser with two handpieces. The first is an Nd:YAG 1064nm, which has three head sizes; cylindrical (9mm), rectangular (2x4mm) and conical (6mm), with sapphire heads (for better light conduction) and cooled to 0°C (with a Peltier cell system). The second is a pulsed-light handpiece with seven different filters (755 nm, 695nm, 640 nm, 615 nm, 590 nm, 560 nm, 515 nm) that can be inserted inside it. This enables different skin depths to be reached and therefore different objectives treated. The head is rectangular; 15x35mm or 8x15mm, enabling different anatomical regions to be treated, and made of sapphire. Like the first handpiece, it is cooled to 0°C, allowing it to be placed directly on the skin, so there is no energy dispersion and the skin-cooling system guarantees the highest level of safety. The OPT (Optimal Pulse Technology) energy emission system produces a square waveform. The quantity of energy emitted is therefore constant, for which reason its intensity can be reduced, and becomes practically risk-free.
Like the Lumenis M22, it is considered to be a platform that enables all types of non-ablative skin treatments to be carried out, with outstanding results.
