The Bariatric Drop-Latch Armboard is a heavy-duty surgical positioning accessory developed from the industry-trusted drop-latch armboard design. Engineered to support bariatric patients and higher load requirements, this armboard delivers enhanced strength, stability, and ease of use in demanding operating room environments.
Designed for fast and secure mounting, the armboard drops directly onto the operating table side rail and locks in place using a weighted trigger latch. Removal is equally simple—just hold the trigger lock upward while lifting the outer end of the board. This intuitive mechanism allows operating room staff to quickly install or remove the armboard as needed.
A finger-operated latch trigger located on the outer end of the board allows for full 180-degree rotation, giving clinicians flexible positioning options for optimal patient alignment and surgical access.
Constructed with a durable steel casting for long-term reliability, the armboard surface is made from 3/8″ thick black phenolic, similar to OR table surfaces, ensuring rigidity and resistance to flexing without the need for additional support. Measuring 10″ wide by 26″ long, this bariatric armboard provides a wider support area suitable for bariatric and high-weight-capacity applications.
The armboard is compatible with all American-made operating tables using standard side rails.
